For over 10 years, Better Built Homes has proudly supported a range of charities and community initiatives. Through our corporate giving programs and workplace giving initiatives, we have donated over $183,000 to leading Australian and international charities, including World Vision, Compassion, Westcare, Destiny Rescue, Cancer Council, Cerebral Palsy Alliance, Movember Foundation, and many more.
Every month, two nominated team members select a charity of their choice to receive a $500 donation on behalf of Better Built Homes. This initiative allows our team to personally support organisations that matter to them, helping a wide range of communities across NSW and beyond.
In 2024, Better Built Homes launched the One Seat One Child initiative, which sponsors one child for every full-time employee through World Vision Australia. Through this program, Better Built Homes is helping improve the lives of children living in poverty and supporting long-term community development.
Better Built Homes helped celebrate Jersey Day to raise awareness of Organ and Tissue Donation! Did you know that around 1,600 Aussies are currently waitlisted for a lifesaving transplant? Donating your organs and tissue can save many lives, and we'd like to spread that awareness today so people can register.
We remain a committed supporter of local WestCare, a Not-For-Profit utterly reliant on community support. Each year we donate our resources and skills through staff volunteering for:
This year, we’re also proud to be apart of a new initiative in partnership with WestCare:BBQ breakfasts for local school children in need.
On average, 3 children in every classroom arrive at school without breakfast and many also going without lunch, situations no child should face. Together with WestCare, we are supporting weekly volunteer-run BBQ breakfasts at local schools to ensure these students start their day nourished and ready to learn.
