Talk to James

James first entered the construction industry in 1998 as an apprentice electrician. After spending 5 years wiring homes, a career change led him to real estate, where he spent a decade listing and selling homes at his family’s real estate office. James was mentored by his Father & Grandfather, who were also real estate agents and they instilled old school values such as loyalty, integrity, respect & ethics.

In 2014, after the birth of his first daughter. James and his family moved to his wife’s home town Helsinki in Finland where they lived for four years before returning to Australia. Upon returning, James entered the new home industry where he teamed up with his former rugby league coach and quickly became the leading sales consultant for a local builder.

James joined the Better Built Homes family in 2024, after deciding to move into a larger market. Now servicing Sydney, the Southern Highlands, Wollongong and the Central Coast. James’ calm nature provides a relaxed and comfortable environment for his clients, where they can lean on his experience when making important decisions.

“Find your obsession, make it your profession and you’ll never have to work a day of your life” is a quote that James heard at a young age. Coming from a real estate family, houses became James’ passion, he describes his job as a lifestyle rather than a career.

Random fact about James. Whilst living in Helsinki, James played rugby and ended up representing Finland’s National Rugby Team.
